Sailboat quilt FINISHED!
3 Attachment(s)
This is a customer's quilt that I was commissioned to hand quilt.
The quilt was hand-pieced by a quilter that is in her 80's. All the pieces were cut with scissors using templates. She used to hand quilt her own quilts, but due to health issues can no longer hand quilt. That's where I enter the picture. The quilt had a few issues with laying flat, but I was able to "quilt them out". It was made for the customer's great grandson. I don't normally label customer's quilts, but I pricked my finger while quilting this and there was a spot of blood that didn't wash out, so I put a label over it. |
The quilt is great! Your hand quilting is beautiful.

Aori, the next time you stick your finger, put a cotton ball or small ball of thread in your mouth. Let the saliva get it WET, then rub it on the blood spot. Your own saliva has something[I don't know what] in it that will turn the blood out or gone. It really works. I've done it. Do it before you try anything else!

that's the way we used to do it before the rotary cutters came along--nice hand quilting on border, the rest is rather hard to see---thanks for the bloody tip---
