Beautiful! I love the hand quilting-wish I could do it- skilled and patient.

This is the first quilt that I hand quilted. I quilted each block and then put it together. I tied quilts, denim, blue jeans, for my boys and grandsons.

I remember her tying the quilts in the living room, the funny thing is I remember one time my grandma tying a quilt in the same room. We lived on the farm that my grandparents had after they moved to town.
Later, mom always seemed to have a quilt in the hoop and she would be quilting away.
The nice thing about the sampler was quilting one block at a time, so it was easy to take along whenever you would have to wait. My sister's got Mom's eye for color. Here are pictures of the same sampler that I made.

I keep a book with some pictures of the quilts I gave away. I lost count many years ago. I have been quilting 63 years. Its much harder for me now due to age but life has never dulled my love of quilts. Sure wish I had of thought of your picture idea in the start.
