Santa in the making

1 Attachment(s)
So today I dragged the sewing machine back out now that my son is at home with his dad for the school year. I have a Santa Sack Swap on someplace other than here and I'm working on the second homemade gift for my person. I had the embroidery done for about a month or two and I got this really cool vintage style Santa print for the border. I spent the afternoon coloring it in just to bring some depth to it. So without further ado:

Yes I know this seems really early but I'm trying to avoid the last minute panic as I'm sure to need the time.

Sincerely,
Tricia

I'd love to learn how to color on fabric. Is there a certain technique you use?

Sewhappygal.... I just use plain ole'Crayolas to color with to color the picture, then put a piece of paper over it while ironing so the wax doesn't get on my iron. If the color isn't as dark as you like after ironing it, just color again building up the layers to how dark you want it. Easy peasy. Now some will do the before doing the stitching and anothers do it after ... so what ever way you prefer works.

Thanks for the wonderful comments Y'all! I started doing an echo hand quilting on it last night while watching TV. I got half way around the design.

Sincerely,
Tricia

That's a cute Santa :)
Thanks for the explanation. I just found some crayolas today as I was going through some stuff. Have to try this one day!
