Sarah's quilt

3 Attachment(s)
A couple of weeks ago I posted a quilt that I made for Harley in the wrong section.

Harley's dad died sevral years ago from cancer and he and his younger sister - Sarah - are living in a foster home since their mother is unable to have custody of the children. My oldest niece went down to Alabama to visit them and i deciced to make each of the kids a quilt. I was able to get Harley's quilt done in time for my niece to visit them, but just recently finished the quilt for Sarah.

My niece told me that Harley just loved his quilt and said that his aunt (I'm not his real aunt, in fact I have only met him once) from China (I worked in China for 10 yrs.) made a quilt for him. I hope you like the quilts as much as Harley did and I'm sure that Sarah will.

The first one is Harley's quilt, and the second one is Sarah's quilt.

Yes, we do, indeed. That is so sweet of you to take such an interest in them. Kids do better when they know that someone cares.

Wonderful job. I am sure it means a lot to Harley and Sarah that you took time to make them each a quilt.

I saw your first post about Harley's quilt and I am delighted to see Sarah's quilt also. You are so kind to make these for the children. I hope they feel special knowing you cared. It's so nice to have a "portable hug".

Oh I remember your post about the boy's quilt, I am so glad to see you got one finished for his sister. Every child needs to feel someone cares about them. Thank you for reaching out to two young people who sound like they really need to feel cared about. Love both the quilts you made them.

Beautiful quilts. I hope you and your daughter are able to keep in touch with these kids. They will so much appreciate the time you have taken with them and the quilts you made for them.
