Scrappy’s
2 Attachment(s)
For a few years, I’ve been cutting scraps into 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 rectangles and finally decided to do something with them. I had a bunch of white strips of scraps, too, so tried to use them up, as well. I finished these quilts in January and shared on another thread but thought I’d share here. No patterns for these…just winged it.

Great scrappies Teen…I love projects that come together easy.
You 'just winged it' into two super sweet quilts, Teen. :)
Sweet scrappies!
Love your scrappies, Teen. Such happy quilts!
You sure did a great job on both quilts. They are awesome
Beautiful scrappys! I've always done squares on scrappys, though I like these rectangles
Making a scrappy quilt look planned and cohesive is very difficult. But you certainly succeeded. Great job!
Great job! These are lovely.
Like Gannyrosie, I have seen, and yes made, similar quilts, but with squares. Just switching to rectangles brings a new look. Like the addition of the little churn dashes. Lovely creativity, Teen.
I hope you don't mind if I "borrow" the pattern for the first one? I have a lot of little to medium scraps that would work for this and would be a donation to Project Linus for a pre-teen.
I love both of them. Great job!
I love scrappies so really like your projects.
nice scrappies...I don't own a lot of low volume fabrics.
Two lovely scrappies, Teen!!
Love how your neutral backgrounds make the scraps pop. Great job.
Wonderful. Especially love the 2nd one.
These are the best kind of quilts ever in my opinion. Scrappy from the heart. No pattern, just there., Thanks for sharing these beauties.
Very nice Teen! I'm a sucker for the shoo fly block so that is my fav..Delightful quilts. Thanks for the idea.
Looks great! I am questioning my eye's ability to spread out the different fabrics to look as good as yours.
Absolutely gorgeous quilts. I love scrappy quilts these are Great.
Great ideas! Thanks for the pictures - these would make great charity quilts. And cutting into rectangles give lots more options than just squares.
Thanks so much!! Sandy in Mooresville,NC |
:) When you say you just winged it, do you use graph paper first to get an idea of the pattern. I just love your Scrappy style.
Wow Teen, those are some sweet scrappies.

I love how you winged them! I wing some or most of mine too, but with this second one you’ve made, I may have to just fly with you and copy your idea. -lol-They both are great though. Five ***** for creativity!

How beautiful they turned out and just from scraps, amazing.
Those are so pretty! Love scrappies!
In hindsight I wish I had kept a fabric scrap from all the quilts I have made. Sort of a trip down memory lane.
Hello Teen been missing you around the board, glad to see your beautiful work just gorgeous

It was a great idea to precut scraps and save them up until you have enough for a quilt. My scraps are not anywhere close to being quilt "ready." Great looking quilt!
