Thank you so much for posting the link to the pattern. I can do this for one of my grand-daughters and one for Project Linus. This one will be a keeper!!

Oh my gosh I love it. I agree with ZoZee, looked at the pattern and examples. Yours just shines! It makes me want to do one too.

Zozee, it's called Four-Patch Chain. http://www.quilterscache.com/F/FourPatchChainBlock.html

That's one way to make it. I would take those two squares that are made up of four small squares of the same fabric and use one large square. I like fewer seams.
There would be two of the large square, four small squares and four 4-patches.

That is a 'happy' quilt.

Really nice! Love how it reads "mainly solids". You don't seen that many 4 patch's like that. Terrific :-)

Love this quilt - you did a great job combining the colors. Thanks also for adding the link. I just checked it out and zozee is right - yours tops them all.

very nice. How is it working/quilting with minky?

I don't find working with "minky" to be very difficult. I think I should add a couple of caveats though. I use only Shannon Cuddle Minky. I find it to be a superior product. I also glue baste with Elmer's School Glue. I've never tried pin or stitch basting with minky. I have had issues with fabrics purchased at Jo-Ann Fabrics. One of the fabrics had nap that was much longer than the Shannon Cuddle. The fibers pulled through to the top of the quilt while I was quilting it. I had to stop, rip and remove the backing. The glue would not adhere to another fabric - the one with dimples. I had to use spray adhesive on that one. The only issue I have with the Shannon Cuddle and I'm sure it would be the same with any long nap fabric, is that sewing on the binding is a little tricky. The napped fabric makes the other fabrics slip, so keeping the fabrics aligned and keeping an even seam allowance is harder than usual. Otherwise, the actual quilting was no problem at all. The glue keeps everything smooth. I've had no problem with puckers or stretching.

Thank you all for your kind comments.
