I use dryer sheets for foundations too and have always cut them into squares. Duh! Yours are so much more interesting - love the combination of the all-light squares against the colorful ones. Thanks for posting - my horizons have broadened.

Like the diamonds. Do you leave the dryer sheets in the quilt? Do they continue to wash well in a quilt?
