I have only used it a couple of times, but I really like the effect you get with the quilting. I bought mine at JoAnns. I don't have any experience with how it wears or launders -- this is the first quilt I've used it on that I haven't given away! I have a long arm, and the only real precaution I know about is related to the way you load it. The fleece stretches in only one direction and you want that to be side-to-side, rather than top to bottom. With a mid-arm, you're still moving the quilt sandwich under the needle, right? So I'd think you just have to be very careful about not pulling on the sandwich too much and stretching it.

I've done quilts with fleece backing both with and without batting, and all have worked out fine. But I've always used low loft poly to avoid adding extra weight. Without batting, the quilt is less rigid. The one in this post has batting.
