I finally decided to leave it as is and took the suggestion of making the binding a little wider so I cut 3" pieces. I got it quilted today and got the binding hand sewn on back.

I love scrappy they look like you should be cuddled under them. Yours is beautiful.

I like your quilt, it is very inviting, says 'come snuggle up.'

When you cut 1" from the middle--top down to bottom on both sides and then 1 " above the center seam and 1" below you end up with 9 pieces--rotate the 4 larger ones and leave the tiny center pieces just where they are ( or rotate them if you wish)

I had to be real careful in laying them out and at first only did one block at a time so I wouldn't mix things up--by the end I could work on 2 at one time without messing up. Good luck.
