Scrappy Hunter's Star

Last week I saw a quilt I loved, and just had to borrow her idea and make one, using the Quilter's Cache pattern. This is for the charity I sew for, and is 42" x 54" Love the way it turned out, and will probably make another. I did this PP because I hate templates.

Wonderful job Judy. Looks very inviting. Makes you want to snuggle under it. I think I might need to slap you though.

This is the first time I saw the Hunters Star done in scrappy and I really like yours! Beautiful!

I love the way it turned out also. Have never seen Hunter's Star gone scrappy. Great idea.

I love it scrappy, too! Y'know what I think the blocks look like? Fish. Am I just nuts? I actually kinda like the fish look. After seeing this beauty, I may just be inspired to make one, too. Thanks for sharing! Kudos on a great quilt & for being so generous with is!

Beautiful! It resembles the hunters star pattern. Is that what it is?

Very nice. I couldn't find paper piecing info on this quilt on Quilter's Cache, only cutting out the templates.
Being a real paper piecing novice, am wondering how you converted the templates to paper piecing sheets? Did you (guessing here) perhaps measure out the templates, put them together as in the block, add the 1/4" seam around the outside, and proceed as in regular paper piecing?? Thanks.

Look again in guilters cache - there is pp on one page, templates on the other.
