Here is a scrappy I quilted for a friend. This lady that did this is in her 80s and has lost her eyesight in one eye. She keeps right on as best she can. She is giving it to a young gal in her 20s who she has mentored for a few years.
I had to stablize the sides with pellon as there was no border and the seams wanted to come out a little. She will take it out as it is basted or just leave it in the binding after she trims it. I would have trimmed it for her when I gave it to her but the gal she was giving it to was present. Give credit to where credit is due. This lady keeps right on although her sewing is not as perfect as it used to be. back of the quilt |

Very nice, love the quilting design. Is that FM quilting?
|
Yes it is free motion quilting. I have a Tin Lizzie and I just love working it.

Love the quilt and the quilting. You both did a great job and just think what it will mean to the young lady receiving such a wonderful gift.
Does anyone know where to get the pattern? I could use it to take care of some on my stash. |
