I love scrappy too--I'm working on 3 right now. A friend let me get in her scraps and take what I wanted. It was good to have different fabric in it. Love it!!!

I had a scrappy quilt from my childrens grandmother. She made it out of her old dresses and aprons. Stupid, poke me in the eye stupid, me sold it at a garage sale when the kids were small as the colors were not what I was into. ARGH!!! You brought back a fond memory. Sometimes its not so much the finished product as it is the effort and love that went into it. As those who quilt know there is a whole lot of LOVE into the work that it requires to make something. You just can't buy that.

I missed the puppy, and had to go back to see her, was focused on the great quilt.

The quilt is wonderful. It brings back memories for me--my grandmother helped me make a single bed quilt like this when I was a young girl.

Love the way your colors flow together. You did a wonderful job on this quilt. when I see other scrappy quilts, It makes it want to make one but I never seem to get the color flow that I see in other quilts like yours. what a tallent you have. This quilt should be posted on the thread "Scrappy Quilt Show Right Here" in the "pictures" section of the QB. You will be amazed at that thread; it is awesome and your beautiful scrappy deserves to be there. I hope everyone who reads this will take a look at it and put a picture of their's to add to the thread. I think it is already over 30 pages long :) :), several hours of complete bliss and inspiration looking at them. :) :)

Love it. This is what people used to do - use what they had because they didn't have the money to buy fabrics just for quilts. Reminds me of days gone by.
