Her pattern showed 20 blocks to make a small quilt, but I don't think I'll have the time to go that size...probably will do 9 blocks and make a small wall hanging. Of course, I have enough scraps to probably do a full size quilt, but that will be for another project!

It's really pretty. Quilter's Cache is a veritable gold mine of information and help to all of us!

That's a lot of pieces. Around 60 per block. Very impressive. Please show us when you're done.

Great block!!!

Very nice. I really like the block but Just how big is the block? It would take me a very very very long time to use up my scraps on this one. Without a size reference it looks like a small block and there is a huge amount of time piecing it for a very little reward. I would pass on it if the reference is to use up scraps, IMHO.

I would enjoy making this pattern, it is wonderful and would not even consider that it would use up any of my scraps.

just remember the objective you stated for the class.

So my question is, How big is the block?
peace

EDIT: So sorry, somehow I missed the block size at the end of the post. It is very small, will work up beautifully. It just won't use up any scraps, again, IMHO.

Couldn't you potentially make it larger so it would be helpful in using up scraps? Of course, larger would not require paper piecing. . . The dilemma continues

Or could you still do it fairly large as an introductory exercise to get the "feel" of paper piecing? It's a really nice block!
