Scrappy Quilt and other new finishes
5 Attachment(s)
I made this scrappy quilt with all 2.5" and 4.5" squares. Reduced the scrap squares a little bit... https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/boy.gif
The orange quilt is my Merry Mayhem Mystery Quilt from the New Year's Day mystery at MM's website. Finally got it quilted and bound. The last three are baby quilts I made from blocks I received in the last Boom swaps. Boom buddies made some great blocks for me! |
They are all beautiful, you better keep an eye on your scrap bin though.......we all know they multiply all on their own.😉
Your Merry Mayhem is just lovely, love the colors. Very cute baby quilts too. |
Your MM NYD mystery quilt is one of the nicest ones I've seen. I really like the fabrics/colors. Some lucky little ones will get those baby quilts. You're not keeping one to give to your new grandson??
I might keep the center baby quilt for grandboy. It looks the least girlish. I have plans for other quilts for him, too.
Thanks, y'all. |
Great quilts!
All are gorgeous, excellent work on all of them. Wonderful colors and patterns.
thank you!
Great job on all of them. I particularly like the first two.
I absolutely admire your precision with stitching in the ditch. Such pretty quilts, all of them.

Your scrap bin must be very interesting! I like all of your quilts, but #1 is great!
Beautiful quilts SBG...but then again, all of your work is lovely. I have enjoyed seeing some of your finishes on your Etsy account too. I don’t know where you find the time to get it all done.
Beautiful quilts!
I always admire your quilts and your productivity. I love all of them and your simple stitch in the ditch quilting makes them the pattern stand out and the quilt more cuddly. Great job on all 5.
I will say it again all these quilts are marvelous! I love what you did with the scraps and the MM quilt is perfect! The Boom 25 I already said how gorgeous they are. You are a fantastic quilter. Thanks for sharing all these beauties.
Ah well done! I like the simple quilting in quilt #1...fits the style perfectly. Border fabric on #2 is lovely/delightful.
Nice work. I especially like the 30's print baby quilts. So sweet!
You have been busy! How nice all of your projects are.
SBG your MM NYD quilt turned out beautiful, I love the colors. On the baby quilts are those 12" blocks? What do you use for batting as they puff alittle but not too much to make them stiff. I have 5 baby quilt tops but none finished. Hooray for quilting and binding all yours. Ecclesiastes 7:8

Beautiful quilts, colors are great!!!

Wonderful quilts.
Your MM quilt is fantastic! What gorgeous colors! All the quilts are wonderful :)
Thanks, everyone!
Loved the Ecc 7:8 reference, duckling. Perfect for quilting! https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/tongue.png The batting in the baby quilts is a 5 oz. polyester. It is loosely spun together, so even tho it's thin and light, it will puff up and hold air for a warm quilt. Those quilts will make good "tummy time" on the floor, as they are nice and cushy. I buy the batting by the roll from Marshall's Dry Goods in AR. It's much cheaper than cotton or 80/20, so that's a plus too. |
https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/boy.gif Thank you for the quilt show! You have been sew busy!
Can you tell me what background fabric is used in the 3 baby quilts? I am impressed that the blocks all match so well for a block swap. Also, I like the loft of your baby quilts...what batting did you use? |
Wow, have you been busy. Your stash should have a hole in it by ow.
They are all lovely! I particularly like the Merry Mayhem one.

Batting info was given in the post just before yours... |
Love all of your quilts. I sure do love scrappy quilts and yours are so gorgeous
Many thanks for your reply on background fabrics and batting used. I enjoyed seeing your projects!
