This is a quilt I've made using used fabric sheets. I ironed the sheets to use for the foundation. Then I can sew my small scraps onto the sheets. It is a nice way to use small scraps.

I have a similar one that I put on a thin fabric foundation. But now I am wondering if it needs batting. What do you do? My friend backed hers with flannel and tied it - no batting.

I still use batting & backing when using a foundation.

Did you use used fabric softener sheets or used bed sheets? I wasn't quite sure. Either way it's lovely.

I also do machine applique or hand applique on them to add to my quilts.
