This one is for a sweet couple at church who are expecting next month. I found this block at the QUILTER'S CACHE. Love that web site.

That's one super-cute quilt. I see double stars on it in both the piecing and quilting! Sweet.

Great Job  Love the stars you quilted in the open areas
|
this is a very adorable pattern that is so perfect for a baby quilt or even a little larger so they can use it long passed their first birthday. I have this one on one side of my cutting table and I have one on the other side. So far I have yet to make up my mind. But seeing this made up and posted for so many of us to admire is giving me the nod. You have done a beautiful job on this.
With blessings |
That is so cute. I bet they are going to love it. Great job.

Very nice job on the baby quilt. Thanks for sharing

That's so cute! I have to check out that block. Your quilts are always so pretty.
|
Awesome job! I love the way you quilted the stars in the blocks as well.
|
Thanks for the kind words. I haven't had much time to quilt lately. Glad to be able to finish something. lol

Chele,
I love your little ID pic. I adore the frienship block and/or the pin wheel block. I like the flip pin wheel as it's personable, but for a childrens design, I like to make it in a 3 d dimenstional pin wheel. These little 3 D pin wheels are absolutely adorable and so worth the extra put in play/ |
I love your quilt, and it would be great for using some left over pieces. It's going on "The List"! :)
|
Great quilt!! The new parents are going to love it.
|
beautiful!!
|
Very nice quilt!!!
|
Thanks all. This was another very simple quilt. I always have tons of scraps and yes, this is a very good use for them. Also the couple chose not to be told the gender of their baby. That can be a bit of a challenge but scrappy quilts seem to fit the bill.

Hi bluestarmom, Are you talking about my Avatar?? I had posted it in another thread. Another scrappy quilt. They are my favorites.

Very pretty, you did a good job. They will love it.

I've seen the pattern before, but thought it was above my skill level. I just looked at quilter's cache and might give it a try. |

fiirst of all this is gorgeous and I just made one mine is 45 by 60 and it is not finished yet, ran out of batting and could not decided what to do for the backing, what did you use ??? and it is gorgeous, this quilt will be for a kids charity quilt when I get it finished, thanks thanks
|
Very well done. Did you use a cricut machine to cut the pieces out? It is very pretty.. Love it..My grandchildren would love this quilt..Keep up the great work..
|
Hi qccsnut, Thanks so much for the kind words. The backing of this little quilt is the same as the background. It is pale ecru tone on tone. Doesn't really show up in the pic.
On larger quilts I quite often use unbleached muslin as I get it by the 10 yard bolt and I love the vintage look on my scrappy quilts. The only thing is that it should be pre washed as it can shrink quite a bit. Be sure and show us yours. |
Hi anglewings62, Thanks for the kind words. I cut everything with my rotary cutter. I didn't know you could use a cricut for fabric. Thought it was only for paper. Live and learn. Do you use it for fabric?
