Scrappy slash table topper
1 Attachment(s)
I had extra charm squares left over and decided to experiment with a new technique- birthing a small quilt. I didn't feel like tying the small table topper so experimented with crazy FMQ on the flimsy and batting before sandwiching the back and " birthing" the quilt.
Thought I would try out this method before tackling a lap quilt made of panels that I don't want to cut up ...or at least today, I don't want to cut up. Lol |
Your table topper turned out very nice! Love it!

Sometimes "birthing" is the way to go!

I've learned so much from this site - and a new term for me - what is a flimsy? Thanks

Really nice use of scraps!

That's a very nice table topper. I use the "birth method" on small quilts, especially table runners, small wall hangings, placemats, etc. After turning right side to and quilting, I sew a half inch "border" around the quilt to imitate binding. This method has worked well for me for years.
