i use crotchet thread, the kind that comes in a big round ball. it is what grandma used to make doilies. i find that embroidery floss is too much hassle, although i have used it. also pearl cotton but it is more expensive and a little heavier than i prefer. but there are no quilt police. i would suggest experimentation to see what you like. have fun, it is very satisfying. Another reason why this board is so wonderful. :D |
nanabirdmo,
I don't hand quilt much, but have a hand pieced that I'm planning to hand quilt. It's just a small quilt because I usually don't hand piece and wanted to try it. QUESTION What is turkey tracks quilting? It might be appropriate for my project. thanks, peel |

Love it!! Where do I find a pattern for Turkey Tracks?

If I had read all post I would have realized "Turkey Track" is the quilting (duh) not the quilt pattern. I guess the pattern is friendship braid?
