Thank you everyone for the feedback. I don't know if there is a name for the pattern. I just played with 2 basic blocks until I was happy with the layout. Most of my quilts happen like that! LOL And no, I didn't make a dent in my scraps! Still have boxes and boxes to play with! I make it a habit to cut all small scraps into 2 1/2 in squares when I am done with a project and toss them into one box for just those.

zozee 10-07-2013 01:47 PM

I'm impressed that you played without a pattern and it turned out looking deliberately cool--in both pattern and tone. Scrappies are so much fun to have around. Bet you're glad it's finally done!

sept97 10-07-2013 01:53 PM

that's gorgeous, I love it

DJ 10-07-2013 01:56 PM

Beautiful quilt!! Why do everyone else's scraps seem to coordinate so well, and mine look terrible together (to me, anyway)?

Dee Dee 10-07-2013 04:28 PM

Well, if anyone can pull together instructions for this quilt, I'd love to have a copy. It is gorgeous!

If there is no name for this scrappy, could you let us all know how big of scraps you used and how many squares to make and the dimensions of the quilt itself to give us an idea. Love your scrappy look.
