Scribbling in free motion...

2 Attachment(s)
I am finishing up charity quilts that other people donated for the diabetes auction for the kids and this is one I just finished this afternoon.
I have been wanting to free motion flowers and so I gave myself permission to scribble in an effort to learn something new. I figured that kids first learning to write aren't all that great and go at it with great guns. So, why not have the same fun learning this? So I did. I have to say it was an absolute blast and I had so much fun. I get altogether too up tight sometimes trying to be so perfect with my quilting and sewing. I hope you are on a galloping horse. LOL.... Be kind, this is a first for me.

ha,scribbles. That looks like the work of a skilled quilter. See below for a "proper" example of a scribble.

THAT'S how it's done! ;)

You girls... Your being kind. Bless your hearts. I did this in an hour and had it finished and ready for the bin for the diabetes office. I guess I will have to start a new bin, this one is full.
I originally thought I would tie it in an effort to get it finished quick. But, then I thought, no try the all over fmq'ing on it. It worked and I am happy with it. I suppose that is what counts.

You did a great job lisa. What are you talking about? That must have taken a long time to do and plan.

I am hoping the bidders think like you do though... LOL!

RedGarnet, I love your scribbling. It looks great.

If that is scribbling then you better come teach me. Your stitches look wonderful to me and such a bright cherry quilt. Kids would love those colors.
