Likely mid-1970's. They are indestructible and dependable. I still have mine from 1976, though I haven't used it in a while.

I still have my mom's old Kenmore. Works great! Skips a stitch once in awhile, but is quite a workhorse of a machine. Sews faster than my computerized machine.

Book design is same as my Kenmore model #1703 that I purchased in 1974 or 75. It's still working, but so heavy that I bought me a Brother 6000i to use for my quilting. I do pull out the Kenmore if I need to do heavy sewing or applique using the satin stitch (still haven't figured that out on the Brother.)

Yes, it looks loke a mid 70's machine. I have a 1983 and its a workhorse!
