Loks like you got a beauty. Enjoy.
Likely mid-1970's. They are indestructible and dependable. I still have mine from 1976, though I haven't used it in a while.
Looks so clean an new like.....good find!
Looks great. Hope to see your creations using this machine (smile). Thanks for sharing the pics.
congrats on your new acquisition
Love, love, love the vintage machines. You will love sewing on it.
I still have my mom's old Kenmore. Works great! Skips a stitch once in awhile, but is quite a workhorse of a machine. Sews faster than my computerized machine.
Book design is same as my Kenmore model #1703 that I purchased in 1974 or 75. It's still working, but so heavy that I bought me a Brother 6000i to use for my quilting. I do pull out the Kenmore if I need to do heavy sewing or applique using the satin stitch (still haven't figured that out on the Brother.)
Yes, it looks loke a mid 70's machine. I have a 1983 and its a workhorse!
I have the same book. I got it for graduation in 1975.
My machine is a little different. It is a work horse. |
Appears to be in great condition. The cabinet is lovely. Hope it runs as well as it looks and you'll have an excellent machine.
Looks nice
Beautiful machine, I also have an old Kenmore Ultra Stitch 6..It's my back up for when my Viking decides not to work. I got mind at a yardsale about 14 years ago for $30.
I am still using the kenmore I saved to buy back in 1983!
I have a 1947 Kenmore which was my primary machine until I got a 1947 Featherweight.
Recently I pulled a thread and dislodged the wire in the tension regulator, so it is not working at all. I used to haul it to class, and everyone loved to hear it purr. |
Looks very similar to one I had. Gave it to DD. I really liked that machine.
It is a Model 1320.

Sewfine, I have a similar buttonholer on mine. I was going to post a picture, but I will do it later today after I clean off some of the gummy tape residue that is stuck on the bed. LOL Maybe we Kenmore owners can find a source for some parts. I have some attachments for various things that are in two parts, foot and fastener. Somehow I lost the fastener making the many feet useless! I went to Sears looking for help, but they don't keep vintage stock. Kitty
