Seasons of the Heart-QOV
1 Attachment(s)
Hi Quilters, I’m trying to get started again but it’s been a slow start this year. Only my second QOV top and we are already into March. I made this top by looking at the picture of Seasons of the Heart by Susan Winget from Wilmington prints. I wanted mine a little bigger. Mine is 62x85 and the pattern was 58x79. Will be given to another member to quilt. I will then get it back to sew the binding and label on, before presenting to a veteran.

Absolutely beautiful QOV

Lovely top!

I love the on point border framing the panel. You did a great job again!
|
Beautiful! Love that pattern, thank you for sharing.
|
Another stunning finish! Thank you for contributing your talents to such a worthy cause!
|
Your creativity amazes me! What a lovely top.
|
Beautiful quilt!

One more example of your skill and devotion to veterans. You may be only on quilt two, but they are always lovely and creative. For what it is worth, we all have ups and downs in our drive to create. It is OK. Your "production" will return and amaze us again. :)
|
You may feel as though you are in a slow phase, but just remember how important your sewing of QOV projects are to the recipients. Sometimes, slow wins the race and the hearts of those that need a lift up. You are an inspiration to many.

Toogie, where did you get your pattern. I make aa lot of QOV's and I really like this pattern.
|
I love that. I was able to find a piece of fabric that depicted the US Navy. My hubby served aboard the USS Intrepid air craft carrier for two years back when. That carrier is a museum now in New York harbor and we got to go see it. It certainly was awesome to be able to do that with him. It certainly was the highlight of his trip.

Did you make your hubby a quilt with the fabric you found? If so, I’d love to see it. |
Toogie, thank you very much I found the pattern of Bear Creek Quilting Company web site as a free pattern.

Wonderful QOV, Toogie!

I've searched over 30 pages on the website given by toogie (bearcreek quilting company free patterns) and have yet to locate the pattern. I even tried their search engine...no luck. But I did find other patterns that I can use for Project Linus charity quilts, and so I'm happy. I've saved the website and have downloaded about 5 or 6 patterns. Thanks toogie!

I came back to the free pattern site this morning to look again....found the pattern "toogie" used by using the 100 item per page direction. Yes, it's there on page 14! But I continued on looking and found more than the 5 or 6 patterns from yesterday that I can use for Project Linus charity quilts. They have been downloaded and printed out for future reference. Overjoyed with the discoveries! Going to try a Mickey Mouse fabric with a pattern found this morning. Thank you toogie!

Great quilt! I really like it.

Beautiful quilt for a deserving veteran.

I haven't made it yet. I have a nice peace of Navy stuff including pictures of aircraft carriers. I hate to cut it up so was thinking to use it as a panel and work around it with different red, white and blue borders. It is in the thinking stage in my head. Thanks for your reply to my post.

Not yet, don't quite know how I am going to do it.
