So my teenage daughter is in theater camp this summer (proud mamma brag: she has the lead in "Meet Me in St Louis"). She was using a paper shopping bag from some mall store that she shops in until it got damp from her frozen waterbottle and fell apart. A couple of weeks ago, I whipped this up for her.

No pattern. Just winged it. (that's why one side is 1/2 inch shorter than the other. Oh well.

At least the side pocket fits around her water bottle.

Seat of my pants is the only way I fly...though my kids think my alternate mode of transport is a broom!

Fantastic fabric...great idea and perfect for a leading lady!

Years ago when my kids were in school didn't have money to get them book bags made them each one from there dad's old jeans. Just a few weeks ago I heard my son talking to his friend about that bag! he' been out of school 16 years! I am sure your daughter will never forget this little cupcake cutie

It is adorable. By chance did you put any batting or insulating material between you layers. Will help keep that water bottle cold longer.
