That's beautiful Shadow!!! So glad that you got to spend a weekend with you daughter and granddaughter again. You guys put together a really nice quilt!

Lacelady 09-14-2009 02:55 PM

Wow, some of you quilters never cease to amaze me at how quickly you put a whole quilt top together. Oh for half your energy.

MollieSue 09-14-2009 03:00 PM

Wow!! I love that!! That's the kind of quilt I've been wanting to make! You two make a very good team!! :D

Beautiful!!! A quilt AND a nice visit with your daughter and granddaughter, it doesn't get much better than that!!! :D :D :D

RedGarnet222 09-14-2009 04:45 PM

How fun shadow! Your daughter is going to understand how to piece many types of blocks before you are finished teaching her. :D

I am so happy that you two are able to spend so much time together. How special your quilt is because you both made it.

You girls did a great job on this quilt.

Wonderful quilt, Shadow! Is this hers or yours? You know, I'd love it if my daughter would be interested in quilting, but she isn't. I think it would be some special time together.

Pea Soup 09-14-2009 05:22 PM

Wow, that's well done! You did it all in a weekend?

Chele 09-14-2009 05:30 PM

Great quilt, but where are the baby pictures?!!! I know you had a good time SD. You were born to spoil your grand babies!

AkAngel 09-14-2009 07:04 PM

Wow, Shadow did you say this is only your daughters 2nd quilt? She certainly has your talent. Lovely quilt.

I love the old fashioned look of it. Very pretty.

Shadow Dancer 09-14-2009 07:09 PM

Thank you all for your kind words. :) This is her quilt, she wanted a Christmas quilt to work on. She used to spend hours watching me sew, it seems she was storing all that information for when she was ready to put it to use. lol

Lisanne 09-14-2009 07:16 PM

That is a terrific quilt!

tlrnhi 09-14-2009 07:22 PM

It amazes me when you all say here is what i did over the weekend.......heck a whole quilt.......I feel good if I get 3 blocks completed........I must be doing something wrong....maybe going for that one hour walk.....or pulling weeds today or maybe it was sanding down the swing to restain.....guess there are truly NOT ENOUGH hours in the day.............great mother daughter and grandbaby bonding time....good for you.

Tippy 09-14-2009 08:05 PM

Wow...that's awesome...such talent

My daughter always wanted to quilt but she just doesn't have the talent! She tried to learn to hand sew when she was growing up and she has tried a few times to master it but she just doesn't have the ability to do more than hem curtains. She doesn't have the patience. And I am not talking about minis but any kind of quilting. She admires it but it isn't her passion. She is an oil painter and she crochets very nicely. She has made many baby afghans for friends.
