So I was hired by a lady to take her butt-load of t-shirts and turn them into two quilts. It kicked my butt! I HATE t-shirt material! *grumbles*
But I finally finished the second one today. Tell me what you think. I didn't really follow a pattern, I just made it up as I went along. As a result, I think it's a bit abstract and busy...the second one also turned out wider than it is long...so weird, huh? |
I think it turned out great. I'm sure the lady that wanted it will love it!
|
Great job. I hate to make Tshirt quilts too.
|
I like the way you laid out the pieces, I am sure that she will love it too!!! :D :D :D
|
Hmmmmm since you are so good at these, maybe I could drop off a BIG buttload of teeshirts the next time I come to your town to visit family???? You would have a year to finish it before I came back through again!!!!!
|
Wow your good at these....very nice :D
|
Very, very nice!!! I bet she's going to love what you did!! :D :D

Great job! I'm with you....don't like stretchy T's!

I heard back from her. She didn't like it. She thought it looked slap happy and not enough of a layout. She thinks it looks like a piss poor job of being put together. I asked her every step of the process if she wanted more input in the layout and stuff and she said no. And in our contract it says in the first line that I'm not a professional and that the results will not be professional quality. Yet she rated me a 4 on a scale of 1-10.
 :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x People will never cease to amaze me |
I am so sorry! You just can't please some people :x :x :x It looks like you did a good job to us, so I would take her opinion with a grain of salt

OMG - next time tell her to do it herself and let her see what you went thru! I have heard that t-shirt quilts are a pain. I haven't even thought to attempt making one. I have my daughter's tees from when she was 4 yrs of age to her high school years waiting to make something with them and still don't know what that will be. Keep your chin up because the quilt looks beautiful! Some people you will never please. :-) :D :-)
|
How rude. I agree, tell her to try it herself and see what it's like.
|
....She didn't like it??????????? Is she nuts????? I absolutely LOVE it. I have made only one t shirt quilt, t's on both sides....And I did the abstract design too, used 3 sizes of square. I have to wonder about the folks that give no input then complain.
Don't give her a second thought, all her taste must be in her mouth... Ellen |
i'm so sorry that she reacted that way. I think it's great!!!!!
