LOL Posted this picture a few weeks ago about my first completed quilt....then added the second one to the same post.....realized that didn't work too well....so thought I would start a new thread as so many of you said you wanted to see the pink one when it was done....Well it's done and I guessed right.
The twins arrived on April 3....a girl and a boy....Anna Patricia and Aidan Alexander....both weighing 7 lbs 11 oz. |
Your quilts turned out so lovely. I know they will be a hit with the little ones & of course, their Mom!! :D Thank you for sharing.
:D :D :D :D |
Congratulations on the twins. Wow. They were sure a nice size for being twins!!! I can't imagine carrying them around for those last few months of pregnancy. And the quilts are just lovely. I couldn't tell what was on the pink on...kittens? The thing about quilts is that a lot of love goes into making them and I believe that love is passed through them. Enjoy those babies!

wow great quilts and congrats!!
Where in Manitoba. We grew up in Ontario but went to Thompson for 30 years and came home to retire 5 years ago. I learned to quilt there. Hubby worked for Inco and I worked for HUdson Bay co till they left in 92. I `m working on a boy and girl flannel ww for a friend there. She`s going to call me when its born so I can mail one or the other. Daughter moved with us and met a great guy and we now have a wonderful grandson and expecting again in Nov. Hope it a girl! Gale |
Thank you all for your comments.
Ducky the pink one has little lambs on it Sharon yes it is the Warm Wishes Pattern.......very easy to do. Thanks again for the encouragement. I wasn't too sure about attempting quilts as gifts when I had never done one before.....but I'm glad I went for it!!! I was very pleased the way they turned out and I really think my niece will appreciate the work and love that went into them! And yes she was a very happy girl when they were finally born......I can't even imagine carrying almost 16 lbs of baby. And Amma much as I would love them to be....these aren't for my grandchildren they are for a great-niece and great nephew. LOL I'm hoping one day my boys will make me a gramma but for right now this is the next best thing!! Grma33.....we live just outside of Winnipeg. Congratulations on the wonderful grandchildren.......I can hardly wait to be a Gramma. Looking forward to starting a new project now.......thinking it might be a couple more baby quilts.......just to have on hand for gifts. I love working with the flannel materials. |

Your quilts turned out really well! They look terrific! I need to finish my quilts for my twin grandsons. The boys are 5 1/2 now. They sure grow up fast! It's been a long time since we had babies in the house! Tho I have a 6 mo old great grandson but I only got to see him once last Sept. Enjoy those twins!!! They are so much fun! That is pretty good size for twins too!! Most twins are premie and about 4 -5 lbs. Hope mom didn''t have too bad a time of it. |
I love them!!
