The Halloween Spirit visited me today. JUST WHAT I NEEDED! I love seasonal socks, and the Halloween socks are perfect. It's almost an office joke to look at my funky socks each day. (Today I wore 5-Finger Vibrum shoes - those shoes with toes!) And the notes are definitely something I use, plus they are bright colors! However the note pad "A bunch of stuff to do" is inadequate, since there are only 31 lines on it (I counted!), and I have more than 31 things to do. . . Thanx, angel!

Sounds like everyone is winding up things and is excited for the December revel. I know I am! I have to say I'm very grateful for my angel and my angelee. This has been life changing and a huge part of my life this past year and maybe some of the best part of my days this year. The excitement for December is so wonderful this year I can hardly stand it. Night and day from last year I spent the holidays alone and had nothing to look forward too. I love the giving and trying to find the perfect present that says I care or I know you. I'm also on pins and needles to find out who my new very special friend is. So Happy Holidays everyone it’s going to be a good one!

Great minds are thinking alike - I posted earlier that I hoped my angel was well and the mailman just delivered a packet from her. A darling pack of chocolates (good too!) and the cutest and I do mean cutest - princess wand with a note to make a wish. Inside the note was an EXTREMELY generous monetary gift. I do mean GENEROUS. Are you crazy my angel? That's waaaaaay to much. I'm stunned and speechless although you'd never know it from the way I'm rambling. I don't know what to say. Thank you, of course, but WOW! I do hope you will reveal yourself to me so that I can thank you "in person" for all the wonderful treats you've sent to me this year. You are truly a thoughtful, kind and generous person and I am eternally grateful. Love you.

I am thinking about a little seek a quilt for my reveal... I am going to make a mini quilt and send it to my Angel... and then when we reveal ourselves I will change my avatar to the mini I sent her and she will have to find me... sorta make it a little hunting expedition... what do you guys thinkof this idea?

I know how I am going to reveal myself...........a trench coat with nothing under it. Where did that come from????? Maybe it is the fact that it is akmost 4am and I have been up since 6am yesterday that means I have been up 22 hours and my brain in fried.

I don't know how to post pic however I had DD take 1 for me so if my angelee dosen't post it I will forward the pic to MJ and she will post it for me. It is not a pic of the entire pressie just the one 1 made. I am busting to tell what it is, I can't keep secrets and this is killing me. It is worst then SS for me.

I've been out of the loop for awhile, but do you mean to tell me there are STILL people whose angel dropped out of sight, never to be heard from again? That's awful. If any of the guilty parties are reading this, unless you have a good excuse, SHAME ON YOU! I'm a very forgiving and understanding person, but I'm sorry - a promise is a promise and a contract is to be respected and that's just what this was. We all get busy and things happen, but everyone can find 2 minutes to write out a little card. If finances are an issue, don't buy a card, make one or just write a note. The gifts don't have to be big, expensive items. That was made clear right from the start. Again, if money is tight, tell you angelee that and she will understand. I don't think any of us really signed on so we could get gifts. I believe we all did it for the fun of it all. But, let your angelee know you haven't forgotten her. No one likes to be forgotten. It must be especially sad for the forgotten ones when they see the rest of us posting pictures/descriptions of the things we've gotten and they haven't even received a notecard. I have been so blessed with my angel that it just makes upset that others have been neglected.

To those of you who are gulity - are YOU receiving gifts? Doesn't that make you feel bad that you are and YOUR angelee isn't? Right now, pack up something and address it to your angelee. Do it! NOW! Please! Pretty please! Make someone happy.

I, for one, would be happy to "adopt" a forgotten angelee. Perhaps someone else would be willing to do the same. Wouldn't that be a nice way for us all to "pay it forward". Trupeach - PM me with your address if you want to be "adopted".

Several people have mentioned about their SQA not being active--maybe life has gotten in the way. The person I'm a SQA to, wrote me a thank you and told me how much she has enjoyed everything but life has been very difficult for her and she could not always get around to acknowledging. That is OK with me--I just want to add a bright spot to her day. Do I know if she gets things I send---no, I just have to trust. I know this is not the case for all and that is sad---guess this is a time of just giving and not receiving. It is a good idea though--if all of you who have SQA MIA could get together for a Christmas exchange!

Thank you for adopting me. I joined SQA for 2 reasons I thought it would be fun to keep my angelee in suspense and brighten her day when she received something from me. I am not crying poverty but I am stating a fact I live WAY below poverty level for the state of Ohio and yet I have managed to send something each and every month. Am I patting myself on the back?????? YES!!!!!!! Could people use the excuse that life got in the way??????? Again I will not except that as an excuse for those who know me know 18 months ago my DD was the victim of a crime and had her head bashed in with a 5 lb rock. Prior to SQA she had 2 surgeries, during this past year of doing SAQ she has had 3 more MAJOR surgeries including ballons in her head, more screws, nuts and blots removed that were keeping her fractured skull together. This is not the end she still have more surgeries to come. Yet I managered to keep to my end of the bargin of remembering my angelee. It REALLY would have been nice with the hell I have been living for someone to send a note to say "I am thinking about you" It is not like my fallen angel didn't know about it, she had even meantioned my DD at the start of SQA. We all checked our angelees profile and post......my life is and open book on this board she should have taken the time to care. It is clear she didn't care however she should have taken the time to PM Kwhite to let her know she wouldn't be doing it any longer. I am active on the board and yet I seldom come to this thread why............ because I do/did feel bad that everyone would post pic or talk about all the wonderful things they were getting. The only time I came here was after I sent my angelee something, just to see her response. She always posted a thank you and that at least made me feel better knowing i put a smile on her face that day. These fallen angles are the angelees who have not responded with a thank you to their angel and yet their angels continue to send........this I know for a fact. They should have said they were out and Kwhite could have assigned new angels and angelees. But they didn't do they the keep getting pressies, talk about selfish. I am not one to judge IN MOST cases but I think what they have done is pretty darn crappy.

I got the most wonderful package in the mail from Meme, my secret angel. THANK YOU so much. She sent the cutest Halloween fabric and some other goodies. My daughter borrowed my camera so I can not take pictures until I get my camera back. I hope that Meme is feeling better, I think of her often.

Trupeach -- good response. You made some very valid points. This was an exercise in human contact and compassion, and some people must be so self-absorbed that they are blind to others. Reaching out to others is a good way to lighten their load as well as take your mind off yours. I wish I could personally give a big hug to every one of you who was forgotten, and hug the forgetters as well, and give them a pep talk of my own.

I chatted with my angel Francis today by e-mail. I made a table runner this weekend at a retreat held by my guild. When it is totally finished I will post pictures. I have had a wonderful angel and think that I have been a good angel. I have had a great time sending, picking out and just watching for her response. Which was almost immediately. Even better than my responses to my angel. I will reveal to my angel who I am and hope to have a long time relationship with her. She has children that I would love to hear about as they grow up.'' I am working on a package for her as I type. Look out angel here it comes.

And I TOTALY agree with TruPeach. No excuses.

Tomorrow is my birthday, and while I don't expect a gift from my SQA - just to know you are okay would be nice. Please PM me if you need to - I'd rather know you are okay than to worry about "runing" the suprise.

I'm a worrier by nature, and I'm worried about you.

I can say my anglee has always thanked me for her things, and I have thanked mine for ending me such wonderful things. it only takes a minute to be polite.
