I'm a nurse and was on call last night and worked on a lap quilt for charity. Just have to square it up and bind it to-day:) until 2

Love your pattern! Just curious.....4 a.m. .... is that before you went to bed or after you got up? I'm a night owl...but ususally more like 2 or 3 am. for me.

I finshed at 4am, cleaned until 5am...sleep by 5:15am. Up again at 10am for the new day. :)

beautiful, it is very intriguing, like a puzzle, did you applique the hearts randomly or did you follow a pattern. very unusual design.

I just played with the fabrics that spoke to me, arranged the hearts in a circle or plate pattern and worked from there. I knew I wanted each square to be different so I chose 21 fabric scraps and worked from there, when I needed more I just pulled more scraps from the bucket and worked with some FQ's from the January FQ Swap. I liked the Valentine's Day fabric because I was working with hearts. And because the hearts are easy to cut out. I chose the lavander because it worked with the pinks and greens, the lime sashing...because I'm drwn to lime for some reason. The floral tied it all together and then a final lime band to give it a finished look.

When I get ready to quilt the top I will use a butter yellow for the back and the leftover foral fabric to bind it.

Thanks

I drew a heart, cut it out of card stock and then traced the outline on the back of the fabric and used my little scissors to cut the hearts out. Couple of evenings on the sofa.
