Seek, Find and Learn Quilt

I've had this Animal Alphabet panel for years and decided since our DGD is 5 and reading, it would make a great learning tool. I cut the panel apart and used each letter for the "door". Each door is closed with either a large button, Velcro square, large snap or short shoelace. Inside the door is a small picture of the panel letter and all the items in the picture that begin with that letter. I used an iron on version of Printed Treasures and the computer to print the words and pictures.

What a cute idea. It's a nice learning quilt! It kind of reminded me of my "Dressy Bessy Doll" from when I was younger.

Love your little quilt and what a great idea and how much fun making up stories with these pictures.

I have always loved this material and bought several just to have on hand for gifts. I like everything of J. Wicker Frish.(Spelling?)

Hope you don't mind, I just have to show you one that I did. I just couldn't cut the panel so I used it as a backing for a small Trip Around the World. I have made several baby quilts for friends with these panels.

Thanks for posting your great little quilt and giving me a happy memory moment.

A great idea. I love it. When I see a baby quilt that I just love, I wish I had grand-children. Instead, I sell them at our church bazaar. Baby quilts that is.

What a cute quilt!

I may have to "steal" this idea. My almost 3 y/o granddaughter LOVES her blankies and her books. This would be great for her.
