Such a great idea! Time for another thing to add to my quilt bucket list.

It is very pretty. I don't save or use selvages, if I did over the years I could have made many many quilts.

I have a full box of selvages and have been sewing them on 10" sq. foundation paper. I hope to make a very heavy picnic quilt or two, or ten,...............someday.

This is very pretty and an inspiration to start saving my salvages again. I saved some for another quilter for a couple years. I don't know if she ever used them or not.

I wish I had the creativity to come up with these kinds of ideas! Everyone else in my family has the ability to innovate artistically. I'm still working on my color balances, lol.

Thank you so much, Ibex94. What a clever idea. I have a large tin box full of salvages that need to be emptied!. What a good way to use them. I will need to play around to design the block but it is most certainly doable. I have saved the photo to my "Someday File". I played in EQ and came up with a 12" block making the selvage threads a 5 x 5 finished and 5 x 10 finished. Thought I'd start by sewing the squares and rectangles.."some day"..I call my file "let's make these"https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images...es/biggrin.png
