Service Flag

As you know my son just recently joined the military and he is in basic training. One of the the things that was done during the war was to display a service flag. They are still approved for use today. So I made my own service flag.

Very nice.

Please tell your son I appreciate his service for our country. My son just retired the first of August after 20 years in the Air Force. I also made a service banner and kept it up until he retired. God Bless your son and your family, I will keep your family in our paryers. And your banner is beautiful.

Display it proudly!

I think it is very pretty and very appropriate.
|
Very nice work - you should display it with pride.
|
nicely done... thank your son for his service

Thank you and your son for his service. We were just presented with one from our local American Legion Post. My son is National Guard and as a Guardsman, you can only display the service flag if their unit is being activated. My son will be deployed late December/early January for 9 months. Pre-deployment training started today.
I'm a Momma with many mixed feelings. |
Love your clever quilting design, it's perfect! Well done.

awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! Please tell him THANK YOU for his service. My dad was retired Air Force so I have always been a strong patriotic person.
|
Very fitting. Thanks to your son for serving our country. I wish him safety and good health.
|
Simple and elegant! Thank you to your son for his service. Thank you for sharing him. Prayers that he remains safe.

I made several of these a while back when someone on this board was collecting them for the families of a group of soldiers who were headed overseas. I hope you hang this proudly!!! God bless your son for serving and may he be safe in all that he will be required to do. He and many that have gone before him are the reason we are still free in this country. Thanks to you and he both.

Awesome! Very patriotic! :)

Does anyone know what size the service flag suppose to be?
|
Wonderful, show it proudly. Thank you to your son and you.

Nicely done and thank your son for his service. I had never heard of a service flag before. My son has been in the Air Force for about 15 years. I also appreciate all the men and women who are defending our freedom and would like to say a big thanks to all of them and their families who are supporting them.
