Sewing Bag
 

I have just finished this sewing bag which was a January Sew-a-long project from Sweet Pea Embroidery. the blocks are machine embroidered and then the bag is assembled by machine. I used fabric from Moda Pintemps range, they are beautiful fabrics and I chose the small prints from the range. I used linen for the sides and bottom and I cross hatched quilted these pieces. The bag is lined with a cream self print floral.

Yes I did put a pocket in the lining but that was optional. I did the 5 inch blocks which made the bag 12 inches long and 14 1/2 inches wide plus the 4 inch bottom and 4 inch borders on each side, making the bag with a depth of 4 inches.

Where to start on this bag? It is wonderful. the fabrics you've chosen are beautiful, the lay out is perfect. Love your quilting. I can't stipple no matter how hard I try, and you make it look so easy and pretty. I love the designs and the placement. Your workwomanship is always spectacular. I love the soft colors in the fabrics too. Just an overall wonderful tote.
