Love, love, love it!!! I had not thought of getting a used desk, painting and modifying it. Oh wow.... the possibilities. I love the style of your desk, I mean, sewing table. I am now on the look out for one of those for the farm house I am renovating. Obviously... gotta have a sewing room there too!!! Thanks for the pix... words would not have done this one justice!!! Keep your industrious ideas coming. They really help the rest of us who don't think as creatively as you do.

Very pretty and very practical.

that's a great surface. looks like you can't get into the corner drawers, though. perhaps, could you move the bookcase supporting your cutting surface in a few inches to allow you to open the corner drawers?

Hi Nancy, I store my scraps and ribbons in those drawers. I have to scoop them out when I need some, but I don't use them often. I have drawers on the other side that I need access to also. Here are photos of the rest of the room. It is 10x12 but I have a lot of furniture. We downsized and I haven't been able to part with my redone china cabinet..or my books and dolls. So many things to do and so little time:)
