*hanging my head in shame*
Your cover is so pretty that I wouldn't want to take it off to sew!!! I made one for my 440 but it doesn't quite fit....did you interface the top? Mine kinda droops. I love how you embellished your cover, maybe I'll get around to fixing mine & making one for my serger too. Thanks for sharing :) |

This was my prototype, designed completely by me, but there's a number of changes I'd make now that it's finished. But I like it well enough! The fabric circles are appliqued on, I used some decorative stitching here and there, some embroidery, and a bit of lace and buttons. |
Very pretty.

Very nice~

That is gorgeous. I need to think about making a cover for my machine. I have a fancy schmantsy cabinet with the ability to sink the machine down into the cabinet, but I use the machine every day. It can get pretty dusty, and a cover like this could keep the machine clean! Thanks for the idea.

That looks wonderful

Thank you everyone. I used HTC fusible fleece for my projects like this, purses, covers, pillow cases, etc. It's like a stiff batting and gives support to the item, is wonderful to embroider on (although you still need stabilizer) and just generally adds to the look of the finished project.
The circles are machine appliqued fabric, done via my embroidery hoop. |
Beautiful!! I should make one for my machine!!! Even though it gets used almost every day, it still can get dusty!!!
