Well, our home has just been listed for sale ... and so that we could show it as a four bedroom house, I've had to move my sewing room (and it's contents!!!!) out and into our wooden railway carriage! What a job it was - and still is to get it sorted so that I can at least do SOME sewing ;) Here's a quick pic of what it's looking like now - hope to give you all an update when it's all 'sewing' decorated! Not fazed by the fact it may be for just a little time - I love to be surrounded by inspiration!

Good luck! You can do it! The "Before" room was beautiful! I can only imagine how you hated to give it up. Will your new place have a sewing room? I notice in all the craft room pictures that are posted here have old sewing machines. I wonder if most quilters collect old machines.

I have been there! We sold our house about a year ago so had to move all my sewing stuff too..It is a job!
But count your blessings! The wooden railway carriage looks great! We are renting a much smaller house now and I have no sewing room..Just a table in a bedroom...would love a wooden railway carriage to use as a sewing room!!!

That's great!
You can 'open up' the new room and make it look bigger by putting into storage the 'extras' that you won't be working on. Make it really cute and inviting (not really your work room now).
Separate things and label the boxes well so if you do need something you can find it easily.

I've heard it said that when you put YOUR house up for sale you should no longer consider it YOUR house but a house you want to SELL!

I think that room will be the 'bonus room' of the sale! What crafter (male or female) wouldn't want Their Own Room!
Good luck on the sale.

I'd have a problem, since my sewing "room" encompasses both upstairs bedrooms, and the attached garage downstairs!

Glad you are able to "relocate" your sewing area for a while! Looks like you are ready to get down to business! Best to you!

Very nice. I like both spaces. Good luck with selling your house.
