WoW! It's a nice selection. I am glad you are going to make some charity quilts. Spread the love around!

Ok, if you are interested in making an autism weighted blankdet go to ProjectLinus.org. Click on blankets/patterns at top of page in the topics row. When the page comes up scroll down until you see Lili's hug. Open that up. It will tell you how to do the weighted blankets. There are two different sizes. When we were given our instructions we were told not to use really "busy" prints as this tends to upset and agitate Alsa child with autism, who is already receiving too much input too fast. Also really bright colors which most children love seem to bother autistic children. Calming colors, muted if you will are the best we were told by a lady that works with autistic children all of the time. That's all I know except that for parents to buy one of these from the real world they can run $400, or more. Insurance does not cover this.

Not sure if anyone still has this on their watching list but wanted to update you with our blanket making. One is completely done, one needs to be quilted, and I have two quilt tops ready for batting. When I get a moment, I will photograph them for posting if anyone is interested. Thank you.

Hello again.....I have made my first dent into the stash of Sally.

Photo #1 - I found this quilt top in the bottom of her fabric box. I finished it with batting, backing and cross-hatching.

Photo #2 - not all of Sally's fabric but stuff I needed coordinating colors with. You will have to laugh here because I was trying to make up my own pattern. I will call it Maroon Christmas tree with Bear! lol

Photo #3 - Not too pleased with this one. It is nine different fabrics stacked and cut, then shuffling the pieces to get several different blocks. We had a thread on this sometime ago but I am not sure what name it was under. I am using free motion quilting and trying to make it larger than I normally do. Within the yellow blocks is a freehand star, which correlates with the blue and yellow star fabric on the back.

Photo #4 - Pinwheels in progress. To soften this quilt, I will add large eight inch borders and the backing will be tiny tiny flowers on off-white.

PS: Don't you just love how straight my dh can hold a quilt for picture taking? lol For some reason, the quilts look bigger at the top than the bottom but, really, they are equal.

You are really doing well so far. I especially like the second one with the bear. I like the red and tan as it kinda looks like a tree. Give it a nice touch. Keep those photos coming...
