I don't think the lack of value in your color choices affects the visual beauty of this quilt. It is soft and subtle, like the colors and it's absolutely lovely. Anyone having the pleasure of looking at this beauty every day is a lucky person.

I've been working on units for several quilts (small pieces), and I was feeling the need to finish something. This is from the "Wickedly Easy" quilt pattern (available free online). The pieces felt enormous! I'm not thrilled with the lack of color/value contrast, but she is soft and warm, and I'm sure someone will love her. I used leftover bits and pieces on the back.

I wasn't crazy about this one, but when my mom saw it this morning, she said, "It looks like Momma." (My grandmother was a quilter.) Needless to say, it has a new home now! :)
