Finished my Pirate Quilt apart from removing the basting. It was inspired by Northern Lass, mine is not too similar to hers as I do not like to copy. I am quite pleased with my "sea effect" quilting. It's the most I have done in a long time. I machined the binding to the back and the fancy stitched it down on the front. It was a bit tricky but I am satisfied with it.
Thank you Northern Lass.

WHAT A GREAT QUILT!!!!! I love the water-motif quilting on the center, and really like how you used the panel squares. That center star is wonderful - a terrific substitute for a mariner's compass. THANK YOU!

What an enjoyable quilt! You "sea" quilting is perfect for it.

Thank you very much for your comments. I think I have become 6" taller as a result. You are all so generous.
I am making the label in a while and then giving it to a very proud new Grandmother to give to her grandson. His nursery is Pirate themed. Being Cornish and living surrounded by beautiful coast line and beaches it's an appropriate theme I think. Thanks again, I value your comments.
