Thanks to Ninnie I was able to make a side trip on my vacation in January. My dear husband took me to Gastonia, North Carolina to Mary Jo's. If you ever get the chance, you have to make the trip.

Here are some of the things that I bought while there. Next trip will have to be longer.

Oh Ninnie, I had to hold back on some for a return trip, so we can be bad together.

I finally made it to SC and am wanting to make a trip there. Hopefully it will be in the next 2-3 weeks.

Cajun, where are you in SC?

Nice purchases.

I'm heading to Myrtle Beach, SC next week to escape the cold. I think I'll try to build in a trip to Mary Jo's on the way. I've never been there. I have a whole list of quilty things I want to get while in the USA. I bet I could really shorten my list if I stop there. I'm in a flannel I spy swap on the board and I'm hoping to get 3 really fun flannels for my contribution.

Gail

I spent the month of January in Myrtle Beach. Hope you get some warmer weather than I had. and it's really, really worth the trip up there. It only took us about 3 1/2 hours to get there. Plan on spending the better part of the day. :D

Not sure yet for most of it.

I'm going to do a lighthouse with one of them.

tlrnhi 02-04-2010 03:01 AM

You sure do have some pretties there.
Can't wait to see what you create!

Nice haul!! I'm so excited ~ I'm going Monday!!

Looks like you had a great time. It is overwhelming to just walk through the door there, isn't it?

I see you bought a 8 1/2 X 24" ruler. I have one and it is my all time favorite ruler. You are going to love it. It is fabulous for cutting border strips.

Esqmommy 02-04-2010 06:12 AM

What is Mary Jo's like? Is it a Joanne's type, or a higher end LQS?

Jingle 02-04-2010 01:59 PM

I have a ruler like you bought, it is great for wide cuts.
