beautiful quilt and quilting!!!!

BuzzinBumble 10-25-2013 01:18 PM

Thanks for all the nice compliments! :)
The quilting design was what the pattern quilt had too. Sometimes simple is best! It really did give the quilt a richer look. I had planned to quilt it myself, but went and got pneumonia, so Julie came through for me...whew!
It wasn't difficult to piece the quilt because I converted it to paper piecing. Otherwise I don't necessarily trust my accuracy, LOL. ;)

Just Lovely!! Quilting is spectacular!!

I always thought of the quilting as the 'icing on the cake'. Your quilt is MORE beautiful after the quilting gave it some texture.

Linny 10-26-2013 01:56 PM

It's beautiful......design, colors, everything!

FURBALLS 10-26-2013 02:33 PM

Mousie 10-27-2013 08:53 AM

what a great scrappy! Great for a guy. Was wondering what size it is?
I might be able to "graph" the pattern out, but just in case, where did you say you got the pattern?

OOPS! Lynda Hall's Shotgun Wedding...:o, somehow I got confused and thought your aunt named it. (I had chokkie for breakfast!)
thanks! :p
72 inches square, got it! :)

BuzzinBumble 10-27-2013 09:20 AM

LOL! Chokkie for Breakfast... that reminds me of that Bill Cosby routine where he gives his kids cake for breakfast.
Mousie, my finished quilt was 62" x 62". I bought Lynda's pattern and then changed it to what I needed, which included making it into a paper piecing pattern. I think her quilt was bigger.

phew! I was thinking if I was brave enough, your size would be about all I need.
Hubby has a friend that has done lots of nice things and some of them were for my sewing room, so a lappie quilt needs to be in the works sometime in the coming year. :)

sewbeadit 10-28-2013 02:45 PM

Wow this turned out wonderful!

cpcarolyn 10-28-2013 05:55 PM

Looks great! Thanks for sharing both before and after quilting pictures as your quilter really added a "blast" to your pretty quilt.

BuzzinBumble 10-29-2013 07:31 AM
