This is a Bonnie Hunter Pattern that I fell in love with. I do follow the Quiltville blog so see lots of BH quilts. I usually print the yearly Mystery quilt pattern, but have only made one (Chilhowee). Anyway, I love Bonnie's scrappy style, but I am not a really scrappy quilter. More of a "controlled" scrappy. I have a decent size stash, lots of it older fabrics. Mainly fat quarters, with a sprinkling of other sizes. I feel (and I realize that this is just me) that to really do well with Bonnie's patterns you need bins of scraps for the best variety. I had a pretty good stack of green fat quarters that I used for this, but mainly its maybe the same 15 or so prints throughout. That said, I do like how it turned out and everyone who has seen it is very impressed with it. It's a beast though at 84 x 84. What I like about this pattern is that it was easier than it looks (thanks to strip piecing) and that the pieces are small. The strips were cut a 1.5 inches. This quilt will go to a friend of my son's. He just bought a house so of course it needs a quilt.

Lovely work!

It looks fantastic.
Very pretty. It looks very complex and I love the greens.
I love it! Beautiful color.

I would say you had just the right amount of greens to complete this beautiful quilt. I’ve often looked at this quilt but haven’t jumped into it. Thanks for letting me know it’s not as difficult as it looks to be.

I'm in love with your quilt...something I never would have attempted on my own. You deserve a round or two of applause!
Beautiful. Your choice of fabrics is perfect. I like controlled scrappy.
Lovely. It looks very complex.
Wowee! That's beautiful. Lucky friend's son.

You did a great job on this beautiful quilt! I have one started in browns and beiges, but have been too busy to do much more than get it strip pieced and cut. I do have the pieces labeled in bins, and hope to get it made into a top within the next few months after Christmas.

I'm a huge fan of green and your green quilt is lovely. I love Bonnie Hunter's patterns too.

Nice job using mainly just fat quarters. I'm also a controlled scrappy quilter. Once I made one of Bonnie's patterns, I was hooked on scrappies. I made her Pineapple BLossom using just what I had on hand at the time as most of my fabrics were in storage as the house was up for sale so just needed something to keep me busy until it sold. Later I made a controlled version of the same pattern but once I made one of her patterns, I was definitely hooked on scrappy. I finally made one of her mysteries back in I think 2015, the Allitaire and got it quilted just last month as I'm trying to finish all my UFOs. I also save all her mystery patterns as they come available plus I ordered I think 3 of her books though I'm sure she has more out there now but I've come to the point I have more than enough patterns and fabrics to last me a couple lifetimes so put myself on a "NO BUYING" since 2018 except maybe a backing or two but now I have all the backings I need for all the projects in progress which will keep me busy for at least another year. Again, nice job on this pattern. What's the name of it as I know it looks familiar but can't remember the name of it.

Lovely project, ekuw! I really like your fabric choices.
Although I do the Bonnie Mystery each year, that Silk Path project is the first design of her's that I purchased. Not made, but keeping in mind... |
I did mine (smaller) in greens and neutrals too, so pretty!! I lust in my heart when I see Bonnie pulling from her bins of scraps and strings
Your quilt is gorgeous and I love the back! Great job.
Another controlled scrappy and Bonnie fan here too. I've done Grassy Creek and the Hearts Quilt for Ukraine. I have printed more of her patterns and love how yours came out. Her directions are perfect and if you follow them step by step you will succeed. I really admire you for giving yours away. It is definitely a labor of love.

I admire anyone that can do a BH quilt and not stop at wallhanging size. LOL Your quilt is stunning.
Wow! Beautiful! Lucky the fellow getting that.
I fell in love with that pattern too, but haven't decided on the colors yet. I love the greens you used, also the stripe on the back.
What a beautiful quilt! Your range of greens is lovely. Thanks for sharing.
Lucky friend - it is gorgeous!!

Wow, what a fantastic quilt!! I love the greens, the stripe on the back and the leafy panto that was used to quilt it. Can you give the the name of the panto and where I can purchase it? Thanks so much. I've made six or eight of her patterns, and they always turn out great. Yours is wonderful.

I knew when I saw your board name, this was going to be something beautiful... and it is! Love the greens you chose, my favorite color. Great work, ekuw!
