Simple flannel blocks
 

I have been cutting excess flannel into squares to make rag quilts. I had way too much saved and am tired of rag quilts. A quilt guild asked for wheelchair quilts for the VA. I made 3 using pieces that worked well together. Forgot to take pictures of those. Then I figured I would use up what was left in the tote. Well, I made 2 lap size quilts and 7 baby quilts. The fabrics may not have been matchy matchy but looked good enough. I still have a bit more flannel that doesn’t work well with anything yet. Note to self “don’t wait so long to use leftovers “

I love this idea - flannel or not! Your lap quilts are great and will be appreciated. I need to start "taking note of you 'taking note'" I have waaaaaaay too many scraps piling up! Thank you for the idea.

I’ve been mixing 1 flannel with 2 cotton to make charity quilts.

They all look so cozy! I love flannel and like you, I'm sick of rag quilts lol.
