Oh wow! I missed this one.. BEAUTIFUL! You have the prettiest fabrics. Love your work and style...

Elegant looking is the perfect description. Just the right touch, both the pattern for that fabric and the quilting.

Beautifully done! The pattern is called "Afternoon Delight" by Anne Lauer for Grizzly Gulch. Easier than it looks!

It is very elegant. Neat and welcoming....

Very nice quilt top. Your quilting is great. I haven't gotten brave enough to try machine quilting yet.

looks like 9 patch, flying geese and squares. Print it out and you will see them.
Block A consists of a four-patch in the center, surrounded by four flying geese that point inward, with four square cornerstones. Block B consists of a square equal to the size of the four-patch in the center, and the square is flanked on top/bottom with flying geese that point outward. I think I would work in sections by sewing all A blocks to all B blocks, then sewing AB blocks to BA blocks and so on. I would also take care that each newly sewn unit is square before proceeding on. |
I really love what you did great quilt.

I think that is lovely..

In my eyes, block A was the larger square with flying geese pointing out on each of the four sides and four square cornerstones. Block B was a four patch with two flying geese pointing out on opposite sides. Isn't it funny how different people see different patterns in the same design? Either way, it comes out the same. But no matter how each of us sees the pattern, this is a beautiful quilt and you did a great job quilting it. Lovely! |
Very pretty, great job to you both.

Beautiful quilt! Great quilting! Do you think your friend would be willing to share the pattern?
