I finished quilting it today. It sat for a while because I couldn't find any of the same thread locally and had to wait to get it. I did an embroidery design in the center of each block and stitched in the ditch and across the blocks. I FMQ the border. It's still a bit wild for my tastes, but the quilting helped calm it down. For those who missed this thread when I posted the top being done, I didn't pick out the fabrics for this one. The woman who did passed away and I ended up with some of her fabric and partially completed blocks.

Now I'll finish the sewing the back of the binding on by hand and toss it in the wash to get all shrunk up. Then it will probably become stored in the car for emergencies. :>

I know it would come in handy. We've always got something that "should" be covered from prying eyes.

I love the fabric. Just not sure I would have used it as heavily throughout as she did. On the positive side -as a car quilt it won't show dirt as much as a less busy fabric pattern would.

Love it as is - different but still familiar.

Just keep it in the car are you kidding it is too pretty to just stay in the car! I love the colors and think it would look good hanging over a chair in a sun room. :)

It's not ugly, but it's not to my taste and for sure doesn't "go" with my decor or color scheme. Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I hope the quilter who started this one is smiling down from where she is.
