I found this pattern on Moda Bake Shop. I used a Simplicity jelly roll I'd had for awhile. Had to change the dimensions a little, but it worked out OK. This one will go in my sewing room, where I've used Simplicity fabrics on the window curtain and on a wallhanging.

I love the braided look. You did such a nice job. Love the colors of your quilt.

Ooh Harmony
Thats so pretty - a good job well done. How many JR's did it take oh yes & BTW what size did it turn out. Ideal colours for a girly. Pass it over this way please  Tisha |

I'm so drawn to the fabric. You did an excellent job on the braid.

I love your quilt! The pattern is great!

Did that take only one jelly roll? How was it piecing it together? I bought 2 Sultry (Moda) jelly rolls to make that same quilt. I just love the way it looks. You did a wonderful job on it.

Here's the link for the pattern:
http://www.modabakeshop.com/2009/01/...ect-sheet.html It was really very easy to make. Don't be afraid to try it! I wound up taking one row off the width because it made the proportion strange. It's almost perfectly square, a lap size, I think. I think I probably should have trimmed each row to be narrower, but I'm pretty happy with how it came out. I used just one jelly roll and supplemented with just a couple fabrics of my own (like the border fabrics). Thanks for all your comments. There were times I was ready to just put this one in the WIP drawer and forget about it. If I can do it, ANYBODY can! For Melissa, here are some pics of the curtain and the wallhanging in my sewing room. Sorry, the window pic came out kind of dark! |
Loving it!!! Great job.
