This old lady has been in the attic for many years. I got her down today and gave her a spin and she works fine. Born in 1908 in Clydesbank, Scotland. She has the original manual and attachments. Tried the ruffler and the tuck marker and once I had worked out how to use them, both performed well. I love the needle threader with its tiny spare hooks.
The rubber on the bobbin winder is perished though. Does anyone know where I might find a replacement? |
Beautiful machine! My husband rapairs sewing machines, especially vintage. I will ask him soon and get back to you.
I see you live in Italy, my parents are from Santa Maria, Del Molise. |
Thanks.
We are leaving tomorrow for a trip to Abruzzo, Molise and Lazio, parts of Italy that I have never visited. I will look on the map and see if we are going near Santa Maria. |
Beautiful machine.

Are there sewing machine shops near where you live?
They may sell one to you or you can buy them online? Not a whole lot going on where my parents are from. It is Santa Maria, Del Molise, province of Isernia. Have fun on your trip!! |
