I ran across this and am not sure what it is is. It says it is a Singer treadle but I can not find out anything else about it. Anyone care to take a guess? The base looks like a Singer base for possibly a 201 but the head sure is not.

this is a newer machine than I have seen,. is the head made of plastic or metal. Alot of the singers have the model number stamped on the bottom of the machine. I can't see close to where you change the stitches to see what is there

Is this maybe a Singer 239?

Someone at the vintage sewing machine shop may be able to help. Here's the link

It looks like some one took a newer machine and put it in an older cabinet for a treadle machine. See what Lost in 51 on this board says. He is our resident expert.

I don't know the model for the Singer machine, but the treadle is a straight-leg Singer.

Many newer machines can be converted to a treadle. The Mennonites in our area do this all the time and there is even a new Janome expecially made for this purpose.
