My friend Jan gave me this quilt top and another with an eagle on it. She told me that they were made by Sioux women several years ago. The large blocks are 20 inches square and I have an 18 in arm. So it was a little challenging getting the blocks quilted. Of course I had to quilt them one half at a time. I used very large feathered wreaths in the large blocks and the triangles. The borders were different sizes, the sides were 8 inches and the ends were 4 inches so I did a different feather design on the ends and sides. It turned out pretty well I think. I have only been working on the long arm since September so please forgive the bad parts.
