Each fall my two sisters and I get together and sew, shop and eat (in that order!)

This year we made a round table runner, matching placemats, a tree skirt and a Christmas runner.

Here are some pics! I'll take a picture of the Christmas runner later and post it here.

Table runner adapted from Quilter's World Magazine

WOW! What a wonderful thing to do. I covet that. I don't believe my sisters and I could get along long enough to do such a wonderful thing. I do desire that. Cherish it--but I know you do. Your things are beautiful too.

Hi, how lucky you are to get along that well w/your sisters. Would you be willing to share the pattern for the tree skirt? It looks like something I might could do. Have only been quilting for 3 years and most things scare me to look at/// :) Thanks and tell your sisters they are lucky!

sandilee 10-26-2010 03:07 PM

Sisters are wonderful. I lost one exactly a year ago today and dearly miss her.
All 3 of us sisters sew. Two of us quilt and the other sister crochets.
Its a wonder as our mother never sewed! How we 3 got interested is a mystery!

craftiladi 10-27-2010 06:15 AM

the only sister that I could get along with is my cherished sis in law and she lives in calif. I am happy that you and your sisters have those times together and all your projects turned out so nice. What happy memories :D

How nice to spend time with your sisters!! My sister does not sew, but my mom does, and she and I spend lots of time together quilting and talking and eating. It's so fun. Your projects are really cute.
